Grocery shopping starts long before shoppers enter the store.
Our latest research explores how Americans plan, save and decide where to shop in an increasingly value-driven grocery landscape.
Based on a survey of 2,700 U.S. grocery shoppers, the report reveals that 97% are actively trying to save, while 93% plan their shop before heading to the store. Shoppers consider an average of 5 stores, (but visit just 2.2) highlighting the critical role of the pre-shop planning window in shaping where they ultimately shop.
This is part 1 of a two-part report series.
Coming in October: Part 2 explores The Planning Toolkit. Including retailer apps, shopping lists, circulars, coupons and loyalty programs, and looks ahead at the role of AI in grocery shopping.
